"The Thiruvathirakali celebration in New Jersey, was founded 22 years ago by Smt Chitra Menon ,in her basement ,which has grown into a deeply cherished annual event, bringing the Malayali community together to uphold one of the most beautiful Kerala’s cultural heritage. What began as a modest gathering has blossomed into a vibrant festival filled with dance, music, and food, particularly the traditional Thiruvathirakali. This event showcasing ThiruvathiraKali is the heart of the celebration, symbolizing unity, joy, and devotion where many women with their daughters, nieces, cousins, friends, other people's kids, and new acquaintances come together . A unique experience filled with many nights / weekends of women and girls getting together bonding while enjoying the art form."
